Prince Pierre found Alexandra Gardens quite special with its mixture of flora. The palm trees were magnificent.

Pierre was amazed at the spire of the Victorian Art Center which contains the best concert/theater halls in Victoria.
Kate and Liss introduced Pierre to Paul and Tanya part of the staff at his hosts' favorite cafe -- Periapt -- It was a welcomed coffee break and the company was marvelous.

Pierre has a profound respect for higher education and the classics was excited about visiting the
University of Melbourne...
Prince Pierre found the State Library of Victoria a facinating place to visit. It used to be the home to the Museum of Victoria and has
a fabulous domed reading room.
The Prince visited Southbank which extends along the southern bank of the Yarra River and contains many trendy shops and restaurants.

Pierre thought that the Law Quad was one of the prettiest areas at the university. He was told that people come here to have their weddings photos taken. The ceilings and the interior walkways around the quad make this one of the coolest places to visit on a hot day.

The building reminded the Prince of one his castles...
Pierre was given a tour of the underground carpark that the Liss and Kate said was called "The Bat Cave" by the locals. The "garage" has won awards and was also used in the movie "Mad Max"...

There's actually a lawn with all the old big trees that rest atop the carpark. It was especially designed with cup-like columns so that the trees would not be disturbed.

Prince Pierre loves to shop and enjoyed his visit to the
Queen Victoria Market, where you can get anything from fish and cheese to jewelry an clothes. It was a fun place to browse.
